History
A place steeped in history.
The ancient Roman road came here from Pontida to reach the town of Brivio through the ancient bridge, rebuilt several times in wood, later as bridge of boats, then substituted by a ferry, and finally by the actual bridge over Adda river.
Brivio became one of the most important river ports between Milan and Como Lake, witnessing the passing of the great personalities of our history.
Informations dating back to the twelfth century speak de La Sosta as an inn for travelers and coaching with horses.
From 1978
Ezio and Angela Comi acquired the run-down old property and they rebuilded the restaurant and the inn with hard work over the years, obtaining the new
hotel-restaurant they are proud to offer you today.
The commitment of the family, enriched by his children Francesca and Michele and supported by valid collaborators, always remains up to progress and provide daily the best service, nothing less than what their loyal customers expect.
The Comi family is proud to be part of this long process: we want to thank all those who, through their attendance give us the opportunity to continue on this path.
